Q1: How many lessons will it take for me to pass my test?

 

A: Unfortunately there is no magic way of telling this. The normal way is when you can carry out all aspects of driving and manouevres then you will be ready. The DSA recommendation is somewhere between 30-60 hours tuition.

 

Q2: Is there a quota for passing the test?

 

A: No. If you are ready then you will pass.

Q3: Can i take my car for the test?

 

A: Yes. You need to make sure that your car is properly insured for the purpose of the test and that you have a second interior mirror for the examiner, Also that the "L" plates are properly displayed at the front and rear of your car.

Q4: How long will i have to wait before i can drive once i have passed my test?

 

A: You can drive the same day as long as you contact your insurance company and let them know that you have passed. You should also make sure that you keep your pass certificate with you until you receive your new licence.
